Craigslist “missed connection”… or not?

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

For this project, we were asked to find a Missed Connection on Craigslist and create a series of still photographs which visually depcits this micro story; iPhone worked well for these…

“I saw you last night, at one of the subway stations with an escalator. You were on the down escalator and I was on the up escalator. Our eyes met briefly as we passed each other, and then when I turned around and glanced back at you, you were looking back at me, and we both smiled. You had glasses and brown, wavy hair, and a very nice smile with a very nice jaw. I was the tall dark-haired guy. Also, this happened in a dream, so I probably am not going to actually find you.”

For this project we were asked to work in a group; assignment to “shoot a street corner” anywhere in NYC; our team of three chose Columbus Circle; we captured several random minutes from each entrance (3 entrances); from inside the circle and outside the circle (6 scenes total); using stop motion and editing in Final Cut Pro
